ELIZABETH ROSS however see the Va History from Old Free State below. My notes in red after some entries.... SIR JOHN FLEMING LILIAS GRAHAM SIR THOMAS FLEMING JUDITH TARLETON URSULA FLEMING CAPT GEORGE KEELING (To continue this line go to CONTINUED ) As you can see this is a rather confusing lineage, the great grandson of Joan Beaufort got together with her grandaughter of her second marriage; and that daughter married another person that was a Stewart offspring...of the same royal line.. So King Robert II is a double grandpa for some!!! They had: (1) John Williamson (b. 1733, d. 1806, vestryman Henrico Parish 1754), who married in 1754, Sarah Price, and had: (a) Thomas[4] Williamson (b. Tarleton Fleming was the son of Sir Thomas Fleming of New Kent County, Va., (Tarleton WAS NOT the son, but grandson of Sir Thomas). who was the sort of John, Fifth Lord Fleming; who was the son of John, second Lord Fleming, and Lord Chamberlain; who was the son of Sir Malcolm Fleming of Monacabo, who was the son of Sir Robert, Lord Fleming, who married Lady Janet Douglas, who was the daughter of James Douglas, Earl of Evandale, who was the son of Alexander, Fourth Earl of Douglas, who was the son of Archibald, the Grim, Third Earl of Douglas (who died in 1401), who was the son of Good Sir James or "the Black Douglas" who died in 1330. This should read, going back from Sir Thomas: John 5th Lord/Lilias Graham John Lord Fleming/Elizabeth Ross Malcolm Lord Fleming 3/Janet Stewart (illegitimate daughter of King James IV, Scotland) John Lord Fleming/Euphemia Drummond; Sir Malcolm Lord Fleming/Euphemia Livingston; Sir Robert Lord Fleming/Janet Douglas Sir Malcom Fleming of Cumbernauld/Elizabeth Stewart; grandaughter of King Robert II Sir David Fleming/Isabel ? Sir Malcolm Fleming/Christian? Sir Patrick Fleming/ ? Fraser(she was one of two unnamed daughters of Sir Simon Fraser Jr) Sir Robert Fleming/?, and stops here The Princess Margaret was the daughter of Robert III, King of Scot- land (b. 1340, d. 1406), and his wife Annabel; Robert III, King of Scotland, was the son of Robert II, King of Scotland (b. March 2, 1316, d. 1390), founder of the Stuart Dynasty, and his wife Elizabeth Mure, of Rowallan; he was the son of Lord Walter Stuart and his wife Marjory. Marjory was the daughter of Robert de Bruce (b. 1210, d. 1295), Fifth Lord of Annandale, who was the son of Robert, the Fourth Lord of Annandale (d. 1243), and his wife Isabel, who was the daughter of David, Earl of Huntingdon, a younger brother of King William the Lion-hearted. The above also needs some clarification. I have no idea why Princess Margaret was brought into this genealogy. Other than she was the aunt of Janet Douglas, married to her fathers brother. If the author of this article was trying to get the lineage of Janet, he was a bit off as follows: SIR WILLIAM DOUGLAS OF "LE HARDI"/WIFE NAME NOT GIVEN JAMES "THE GOOD" LORD OF DOUGLAS/WIFE NAME NOT GIVEN ARCHIBALD "THE GRIM" LORD OF DOUGLAS 3d/JOAN MORAY JAMES "THE GROSS" EARL OF DOUGLAS 7th/BEATRIX SINCLAIR JANET DOUGLAS SOURCE
